History
Teatro em Caixa is a professional theater company with Diogo Bastos Pinho as it's artistic director.
The company was founded in 2012. We are based on two fundamental concepts: ease of transport and the ability to surprise. The aim is to bring theater to as many people as possible. We have been reaching heterogeneous audiences in this intense itinerant activity. Throughout our artistic journey, there have been several proposals, whether for adults, young people, school and families, or for basic or specialized training. One of our main focus is the national and international tour of projects. Decentralization, community work, creation in partnership as well as social and inclusive appreciation, are fundamental concerns of the Teatro em Caixa company.

2016, 2021, 2023 - Selection Call to Support Local Creation - Imaginarius, International Festival of Street Theater with the theater and music show "Ephemeros", Short Film "Urban Pantheon" and theater and music show "Kefalé".

2015, from 2017 to 2024 - 1st place in the PAC contest - Inclusive community theater and music projects.

2018 - Musical participation in the film "Pedro e Inês" by director António Ferreira based on the book "A Trança de Inês" by Rosa Lobato Faria, the most watched film in Portuguese cinema.

2018 - Project “Back on Track” by 4 is - Platform for Social Innovation with Benjamin Lorch - Germany.

2019/20 - Creation of an International Social Innovation Project with Teatr Brama - Poland under the TANDEM EUROPE Programme.

2021 – "Shakespeare in the woods" – Inclusive community theater project supported by the General Directorate of Arts and the Ministry of Culture.

Believing that, somewhere in the future, a formula that answers all questions has already been invented, Rodolfo builds a time machine and sends assistant Ramiro on a journey into the future with the mission of finding it and with it , dominate the world through knowledge.
